Snow last October added to the excitement of moving an eighteen foot beam up on the three bents. My son Crosby was there for this one, and the next. And a friend of ours stopped by in the middle to make sure OSHA wasn't around. The nice thing about this was how well it fit. The challenge was the weight and the two foot lift at the end to drop it in. All went well. The second lift, of course, was easier. We were a bit dangerous on the first and made some adjustments, adding an incline plain, and using some ropes to assure a dropped beam wouldn't end on top of us.
